ALBAYALDE ON POSSIBLY FACING ICC: "I'M READY, NOTHING TO FEAR"

Former PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde projected confidence as he declared his readiness to face the International Criminal Court (ICC) if an arrest warrant is issued against him in connection with the Duterte administration's war on drugs.

Addressing Duterte supporters, he firmly said: "If the government plans to surrender us, we have nothing to fear. I am ready to face it."

Despite nearly four decades of service, Albayalde expressed certainty that his record and actions could withstand scrutiny. He stressed that he has nothing to hide and is prepared to defend his leadership of the national police.

He also voiced trust that the Philippine government would uphold due process and protect officials who faithfully served the country. Along with Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, Albayalde remains among those identified by ICC watchdogs as possible subjects of arrest warrants over their roles in the anti-drug campaign.
